Post-NMUN-DC Report
November 6, 2007
This past weekend, gmuMUN attended the National Model United Nations conference in Washington, DC, sponsored by the Osgood Center for International Studies. Congratulations to everyone who attended NMUN-DC, including Pete Abbate, Kelsey Wilkens, Sam D’Introno, Paula Hill, Matt Casper, Jeremy Miller, Kady Huff, and Sara Williams!
Because of the unique rules at NMUN-DC, only one award was given in each committee (by a vote of all present), and did not take into account diplomacy, country policy, or accuracy of representation, among other things. However, all of our students were informally recognized by their peers within each of their committees as superior delegates with impeccable research who were diplomatic and portrayed their country’s foreign policy accurately.
Congratulations to all of you and we look forward to seeing you at future conferences!
